July 3 Tuesday – Charles J. Langdon wrote to Sam, enclosing a check for $120 for various bond coupons, property of Susie Clemens’ estate [MTP].
Tudor Storrs Jenks for Anti-Child Slavery League wrote to Sam, wishing to use his name in their cause [MTP]. Jenks, (1857-1922), author, poet, artist, editor, journalist and lawyer. Jenks was secretary of the League. He is known today for his popular works of fiction and nonfiction for children and the masses [MTP]. Note: not in Gribben, though Jenks was a prolific author.
