Road passes many pools. Halfway forks S .to Pleasant Valley (Simpson 's line). Road again rounds the swamp, crossing S. end of Salt Plain. After 21 miles, “ Willow Creek ;" water rather brackish . Station “Willow Springs" on the bench below the hills, at W. end of desert; grass and hay plentiful
