Simpsons Pass to Carson Sink Station

Cross the valley, 10 miles to the summit, over slough inundations and bad road. Summit shifting| sand. Descend 5 miles to Carson Lake; water tolerable; tule abundant. Round the S . side of the lake to the sink of Carson River Station ; no provisions; pasture good ; fuel scarce
