September ca – In Dublin, N.H. Sam wrote to Norman Hapgood. The more I think of it the more it pleases me. There certainly is a chance to start that new platform, & M Clure, with his earnestness & energy & staying power is the man to drive it home to success if any one can. I want to thank you for the interest you have taken in it [MTP]. Note: for some time Sam McClure had wanted to start a new magazine. Sam declined to be editor for it; Hapgood was editor of Collier’s (since 1903). He may have commented on McClure’s proposed venture.
