Hotel Bristol (Vienna)

The Hotel Bristol is a grand hotel in Vienna on the Ringstrasse next to the Vienna State Opera . It opened on June 26, 1892 as the Hotel am Ring , and is owned by the Sacher Group and managed by Marriott International . 

The hotel began operations in 1892 in a residential building built in 1863 by Ludwig Förster . In 1898, after the purchase of the neighboring house, it was remodeled by the architects Emil Bressler and Gustav Wittrisch. In 1913, after the purchase of additional neighboring houses, it was remodeled again by Wilhelm Schallinger; the staircase and the oval hall have been preserved to this day.
