March 8 SundaySam’s notebook: “Get fountain pen Mrs. Bergheim / Belsize Court / Belsize Park / London N.W.” [NB 46 TS 11]. Note: Mrs. Samuel Bergheim, whose husband was Plasmon Co. Director.

Howard E. Wright wrote to Sam on Hotel Marlborough, NYC stationery. “Mr. Frank Webber formerly of Hartford is the chief clerk of this Hotel. He knows a New York man who is about to retire from active business who is looking toward Hartford as a peaceful abiding place. He will need a house…he thinks yours is the one that will suit him best…I have given Mr. Webber a card of introduction to you” [MTP].

Laurence Hutton wrote to Sam, the letter not extant but referred to in the Mar. 18 to Hutton [MTP].
