November 29, 1904 Tuesday – On or about this day Sam moved into his new home at 21 Fifth Avenue in N.Y.C. and daughter Jean arrived as well.
May 5, 1905 Friday – Sam left NYC with H.H. Rogers on the yacht Kanawha for Fairhaven, Mass. [Lyon’s journal #2 TS 17; Lyon’s journal May 7]. Note: Due to learning of Clara’s impending appendectomy, Sam may have stayed in NYC. Lyon wrote that he was in Fairhaven. If he did not go with Rogers, it is then evident that Lyon did not know this.
May 18, 1905: Isabel Lyon’s journal # 2: “Today Mr. Clemens arrived. Jean & Patrick rode over to Harrisville to meet him. The orchestrelle came too” [MTP TS 19]. Twain had spent the previous day in Boston.
October 21, 1905: Sam departs Dublin for Boston, by November 7th, he was back home in New York City.
January 25 - 30, 1906 - Washington D.C.
February 26, 1906: Hartford, CT and returned to New York March 1st.
May 14, 1906: Sam travels to Boston, en route to Dublin for the summer, leaving Boston on the 15th. by train to Dublin.
October 17, 1906: Returns to NYC from Dublin.
January 2, 1907: Sam, Joe Twichell, and Isabel Lyon sailed on the S.S. Bermudian for Bermuda for a “flying trip,” a three-day stay. They returned on the 9th.
March 16, 1907: Depart for Bermuda, returned home March 21st.
April 2, 1907: Sam makes his final trip to Elmira, NY, returning to NY City April 4th.
May 4, 1907: Sam moved into the William Voss house in Tuxedo Park, N.Y.
June 8, 1907: Sam leaves for England. Arrives June 18.
October 24, 1907: Returns from Tuxedo Park to New York City
January 25, 1908: Departs for Bermuda, returns February 6.
February 22, 1908: Departs for Bermuda, returns April 13.
June 18, 1908: Moves into Stormfield.
