Charles H. Taylor for Boston Globe wrote asking Sam’s “co-operation in presenting to young readers of the Globe some good advice as to what to read,” specifically, “What ten or fifteen books do you …recommend our boys and girls in their teens to read?” “Another Mendicant” Sam noted [MTP].
