Joseph R. Hawley wrote to Sam about the upcoming Clover Club dinner — “the wittiest, jolliest, funniest happiest dinner of the year.” Hawley thanked Sam for his hospitality; Mrs. Hawley was impressed with Quarry Farm. Hawley would be in Hartford this week and would call [MTP].
