Note: this Back Bay address was recently listed for sale as a multi-family house with twelve bedrooms and nine baths with nearly 11,000 square feet, built in 1900.

He asked Sam to write a character sketch of Benjamin Franklin, since the 200th anniversary of his birth was to be celebrated in January, and who better to write it than Twain? [MTP].
