Ragnvald Blix wrote to Sam, thanking him for a letter of praise of his book Le Voile Tombe: Caricatures par Blix (1908). Blix offered to send Clemens the original of any caricature he chose. Gribben adds that “Blix’s prints mimic the master painters of Western Europe” [MTP; Gribben 75].
