March 23 Tuesday — In Redding, Conn. Sam wrote an advertisement to the public for the Redding Times. Under a photo of Stormfield, Sam wrote, ‘“Mr. Sunderland built my house, & I can recommend him in the strongest terms, as a builder, to any who may need his services. / Mark Twain” [MTP].
